​Policies for All Classes

• Students will not be admitted to any class if they are not properly dressed or their hair is not tied up.

• Students MUST wear their hair in a bun for all ballet and ballet combo classes. For all other classes, hair must be neatly off their face and tied back in a ponytail.

• No outside footwear permitted in the dance classroom.

• No hoop earrings or large jewelry permitted in class.

• Please put your name in your dance shoes, dance bag, and on all belongings.

• All items left after class will be put in the lost and found bin in the lobby. The lost and found will be emptied prior to Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, and at the end of each school year and summer session.

 

Pre Ballet (Ages 3-4)

Pink leotard (skirt attached), pink tights for all classes, pink ballet slippers (Bloch Giselle, Full sole), hair pulled back in a bun or ponytail

Pre Ballet/Tap (Ages 3-5)

 Pink leotard (skirt attached), pink tights for all classes, hair pulled back in a bun or ponytail. Students will need both ballet and tap shoes:

• Ballet – Pink ballet slippers (Bloch Giselle, Full sole)

• Tap – Non-tie tap shoe. Bloch Allie black (Patent Leather)

 

Basic Ballet/Jazz (Ages 5-6 & Kindergarten-2nd Grade)​

• Ballet/Jazz - Light blue leotard, pink tights, hair in a secure bun. Students will need both ballet and jazz shoes.

  • Pink ballet slippers (Full sole).

  • Jazz - Capezio EJ2 slip on in caramel

Ballet & Ballet Combo Classes (Ages 7-9 & 3rd-5th Grade)

• Ballet – Light Purple leotard with form fitting dance shorts or a skirt, pink tights, hair in a secure bun. 

  • Pink ballet slippers (Split sole, canvas or leather).

• Ballet/Jazz - Light Purple leotard with form fitting dance shorts or a skirt, pink tights, hair in a secure bun. Students will need both ballet and jazz shoes:

  • Pink ballet slippers (Split sole).

  • Jazz - Capezio EJ2 slip on in caramel

• Ballet/Lyrical – Light Purple leotard with form fitting dance shorts or a skirt, pink tights, hair in a secure bun. Students will need both ballet and lyrical shoes:

  • Pink ballet slippers (Split sole).

  • Lyrical - 1/2 sole leather - Capezio (nude)

Ballet Classes (5th Grade+ & 6th Grade+)

• Ballet – Black leotard with form fitting dance shorts or a skirt, pink tights, hair in a secure bun, pink ballet slippers (Split sole).

• Ballet/Lyrical – Black leotard with form fitting dance shorts or a skirt, pink tights, hair in a secure bun. Students will need both ballet and lyrical shoes:

  • Pink ballet slippers (Split sole).

  • Lyrical - 1/2 sole leather - Capezio (nude)

Pre Pointe/Ballet Combo

Any color leotard with form fitting dance shorts or a skirt, pink tights, pink ballet slippers (Split sole). Must wear hair in a secure bun. Pink ballet slippers (Split sole). Each dancer will go en pointe at their own pace. Dancers will be allowed to purchase pointe shoes when the instructor informs them they are ready.

Lyrical/Jazz (Ages 7+)

Any color leotard with form fitting dance shorts or a skirt, pink or tan tights, Lyrical - 1/2 sole leather - Capezio (nude), and Jazz - Capezio EJ2 slip on in caramel. Hair must be tied back in a bun or ponytail.​​​

Contemporary (Ages 10+)

Form fitting athletic wear​ or leotard, shorts, and convertible tights. Shoe - footundeez (nude) - Hair must be tied back.

Beginner Jazz Tap (Ages 10+)

Any color leotard with form fitting dance shorts, tan tights, Tap - leather (black laceup), hair must in a bun or ponytail.​​

Musical Theatre/Jazz Classes

Any color leotard with form fitting dance shorts, tan tights, Capezio EJ2 slip on Jazz shoe in caramel, hair must in a bun or ponytail.

Teen Classes

• Ballet – Any color leotard with form fitting dance shorts or a skirt, pink tights, pink ballet slippers (Split sole). Must wear hair in a secure bun.

• Contemporary – Form fitting athletic wear​ or leotard, shorts, and convertible tights. Shoe - footundeez (nude) - Hair must be tied back.

Adult Classes​

• Contemporary – Form fitting athletic wear​. Slip on jazz shoe (suggested brand: Capezio EJ2 slip on in caramel)

• Ballet & Ballet Fitness – Form fitting athletic wear​. Ballet slippers.

• Hip Hop – Athletic wear​. Sneakers - students can either purchase dance sneakers or they must wear any sneaker that will not be worn outside. *Recommended dance sneaker to purchase: Bloch sneaker - style Omnia - color is black (black with white sole)

• Tap – Form fitting athletic wear​. Tap shoes.

• Jazz Fusion – Form fitting athletic wear​. Jazz shoes.

 

Hip Hop/Jazz Classes (All Levels)

• Hair must be pulled back in a ponytail. Form fitting athletic wear, tank top or t-shirt, form fitting sweatpants or leggings. Sneakers - students can either purchase dance sneakers or they must wear any black sneaker that will not be worn outside. *Recommended dance sneaker to purchase: Bloch sneaker - style Omnia - color is black (black with white sole)

Boys Dance Wear

• Ballet – White or Black Fitted T-shirt, black athletic shorts or fitted stretch pants, black ballet shoes

• Hip-Hop/Jazz/Tap/Lyrical – T-shirt (any color), black athletic shorts or fitted sweatpants

  • Musical Theatre and Jazz: Capezio EJ2 slip on in black

  • Lyrical: 1/2 sole leather - Capezio (nude)

  • Tap: tap shoes (Black laceup)

  • Contemporary: Footundeez (nude)

  • Hip Hop: Sneakers - students can either purchase dance sneakers or they must wear any black sneaker that will not be worn outside. *Recommended dance sneaker to purchase: Bloch sneaker - style Omnia - color is black (black with white sole)

Competition Technique Team (Mini, Petite, Junior I & II, and Teen)

*Hair must be in a bun or pulled back with a clip. NO PONYTAILS.

• Girls – Hair must be in a bun. Black leotard, tan tights, black athletic fitted shorts, Jazz shoes - Capezio EJ2 slip on in caramel

• Boys – T-shirt (any color), black athletic shorts or fitted sweatpants, jazz shoes - Capezio EJ2 slip on in black

*Team Lyrical I, II, & III will require 1/2 sole leather - Capezio (nude) lyrical shoes.

*Additional shoes for performances may be required.
