LDS Competition Technical Team is for dedicated students who are ready to bring their dancing to the next level!

ABOUT THE LDS COMPETITION TECH TEAM

LDS performance team allows students to gain performance skills and build confidence. It gives students several performance opportunities and the experience of working closely with their teachers and teammates.

 

TECH TEAM LEVEL PLACEMENT

We offer teams for students ages 5 - teen. Our Tech Team is split into levels based on ability and technique as well as age. Students will be assessed for level placement during summer classes. Further auditions may be requested and would be held in late August or early September prior to the start of our school year. Please note, levels are subject to change. 

 Team Levels:

• Mini Level Team

• Petite Level Team

• Junior Level Team

• Teen Level Team

CLASS REQUIREMENTS

Throughout the September-June school year, team members are required to take classes in various forms of dance in order to enhance their technique and broaden their dancing. Team members are also required to take summer classes to maintain skill level and determine level placement for the upcoming season. Class requirements vary per level.

COMPETITIONS

Our students compete in competitions locally in New Jersey! We compete at Groove, Beyond the Stars, Breakout, and many more! Team members will be required to attend three competitions during the season throughout the months of February-May. Competition dates will be announced prior to the start of the school year.​​

INTERESTED IN JOINING OUR TECH TEAM?​

Students interested in joining the LDS Competition Technical Team must first complete the required team summer classes. Summer classes allow our instructors to assess each dancer’s technique, ability, commitment, and readiness for competition training. Team placement is determined by our instructors and will be announced following summer classes.
